I am a rising junior studying economics at Georgetown University. I was born near Islamabad, Pakistan, however my earliest memories are in Princeton, New Jersey, a town which I continue to call home.

About the Collection:

The primary contents of this archive are audio files of special programming of the Urdu-language national radio program Raabta, which was broadcast daily by Radio Pakistan from March 17 to April 2, and intermittently thereafter. The program features Dr. Sania Nishtar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection (and my aunt), fielding questions from the general public regarding COVID-19 on behalf of the Pakistani government. As a medium, radio is one of the more widely accessible in Pakistan, especially for the country’s illiterate and economically disadvantaged. For more details on the archive, please see below.
